My name is Arun Giridhar. My area of specialization is systems engineering and its applications to the process and pharmaceutical industries, and I also maintain a research interest in combinatorics, computational complexity, computing, and complex systems. I am currently a post-doc with Rex Reklaitis and Venkat Venkatasubramanian at the School of Chemical Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, working on knowledge management and process management in the pharma industry as part of the NSF-funded Engineering Research Center for Structured Organic Particulate Systems. I did my PhD with Rakesh Agrawal and Venkat Venkatasubramanian in the same department, with whom I worked on the synthesis of multicomponent distillation networks. Earlier, I did an MS at the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, and a BTech in Chemical Engineering at IIT Madras.

  1. Dear Arun,

I did drop by your blog after I saw a trackback from here to my post on Cory Doctrow’s tips on writing. Though I have not gone through all the posts, it does look appealing. I will add your blog to my reader and look forward to our blog-ical interactions.
